Livingston
Academy used a strong fourth quarter to pull away to a 52-44 win over Chuckey-Doak in the
second game of the morning.
The Lady Wildcats led by only two going into the final eight
minutes, but hit 14-of-17 free throws down the stretch to secure the win.
Chuckey-Doak (8-4)
led by a slim two points after a quarter of play, and Livingston Academy (12-3) surged ahead 25-21
by halftime.
The Lady Wildcats did a good job of converting C-D mistakes into points, scoring
14 off turnovers. Livington Academy also made the most of its offensive rebounds, scoring 16 second
chance points.
Livingston Academy didn't take a single foul shot until the 4:29 mark of the
fourth quarter. They made the most of their chances late, hitting 82.4 percent.
Mackenzie
Sells paced Livingston with 20 points and six boards.
Karly Frye led the Lady Knights with a
game-high 24 points, four assists and three steals. Frye was 10-of-15 from the foul
line.
