Two-time
defending Ladies' Classic champion Wilson Central cruised into the second round with a 71-36 victory
over West Greene.
The Lady Buffs (3-8) hit the first shot of the game for a brief lead, but
from then on it was pretty much all Wilson Central.
The Lady Wildcats (6-4) led by 10 and the
end of the first and were up 27-11 at halftime.
Taylor Peterson led the winners with 24
points. Sydney Vanlandingham had 12 points, six rebounds, four assists and six steals. The
Lady Wildcats had 20 steals as a team, forcing West Greene into 32 turnovers. Rachel Bean had four
steals, scored 12 and had a game-leading eight rebounds.
Alison Brooks was the only West
Greene player in double figures with 10.
