Bears Impress

Mt. Juliet got 26 points and 12 rebounds from Caya Williams, 21 points in the first
half, and moved past Dobyns-Bennett 57-36 Monday afternoon.
The Bears (10-1), who finished
runner up here in the Ladies' Classic in2007 and won the event in 2004, were impressive with their
post offense, where they dominated with 33 points in the paint.
Mt. Juliet ran away to a 19-7
first quarter lead and a 37-18 halftime advantage. Dobyns-Bennett's Lady Indians tried to rally in
the second half, closing to 12 points at one point, but could get no closer.
Chelsea Brown
added 11 points and five assists for the Bears. Mt. Juliet had 20 assists in the ball game and 14
steals.
The Indians (7-2) were led by Julie Osborne with 12 points and Megan Devine with
11.
Mt. Juliet hit 46 percent of their shots from the field while D-B managed 39.5
percent.
