The Campbell County Lady
Cougars earned the seventh place spot in the tournament, beating Franklin County (KY) 74-61
Saturday.
Campbell County erupted in the third quarter, turning a 31-27
halftime deficit into a 50-41 lead by the end of the period, thanks to a 23-10 run. They would not
allow the Flyers to get closer than six points down the stretch.
Skylar
Boshears and Haley Comer shared scoring honors with 18 points each for Campbell County (17-2).
Emily Ellison scored 16. The Cougars hit nine 3-pointers in the game, making 9-of-15 from behind
the arc.
Franklin County (10-4) was led by Jasmine Simpson with 23
points while Brooklyn Miles scored 11.
