Californians Topple Knights

Buena High of Ventura, Calif., won the consolation bracket finals with a 69-39 win over Chuckey-Doak.

The Lady Knights got off to a horrible start with a 23-6 first quarter deficit and the game was out of reach by intermission as the Bulldogs controlled a 45-14 lead.

Keani Albanez continued her solid tournament play for the Bulldogs with 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting. Isabel Halpern scored 14, while Holly Holcomb logged a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Kacie Sowell also scored 11 for Buena (11-6).

Brooke White scored 12 points and Victoria Baldwin added 11 for Chuckey-Doak (6-8).
