Shelbyville Central will play for seventh place after a 59-48
win over Farragut on elimination day.
The Eaglettes (9-5) led from the start. They were up by
as many as 14,but Farragut made a game of it, cutting the score down to single figures late in the
contest.
Trailing 34-25 at the half and by 11 heading into the fourth, the Lady Admirals
(11-3) pushed hard early in the fourth but couldn’t reel in hard-pounding Shelbyville.
Kayla
Whorley battled for the Eaglettes, leading the game with nine rebounds. She scored seven. Hannah
Dawson led Shelbyville with 18points. Janie Graves scored 13.
For Farragut, Hayley Newby was
the only player in double figures, leading the scoring with 12 points.
