Morristown West rolled into the semifinals with a commanding
68-41 win over Dobyns-Bennett.
The game, which is is likely a preview of a key regional
matchup later in the season, was competitive through the first quarter with the undefeated Lady
Trojans (11-0) holding a narrow 12-9 lead. West blew itopen from there, moving clear 29-18 by
halftime and putting it all but out of reach in the third.
Taylor Hall led the Lady Trojans
with 30 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Sidney Goins poured in 25
points and had six boards. Megan Fanney had six assists and eight steals, one shy of the tournament
record.
Dobyns-Bennett (8-4) got 10 points from Juli Osborne and nine from Blaine Frohlich.
Osborne was perfect shooting 3-of-3 from the floor and4-of-4 from the stripe.
The Lady
Trojans forced D-B into 23 turnovers, scoring 35 points off the miscues.
