Murfreesboro Oakland came to Greeneville undefeated and ranked among the best teams in the south, and they left town Saturday night still unbeaten with the championship trophy in tow after beating Morristown West 48-34 in the title game at Hal Henard Gymnasium.
Emily Eubank dropped in 20 points and tournament most valuable player Ellen Riggins added 12 to pace the Patriots (14-0). Morristown West (10-6) got 12 points from Jecca Simerly and 11 points from Abby Craine.
Oakland came out strong, taking the lead from the outset with a 15-6 first quarter advantage and never really letting the Trojans rally. West trailed 24-16 at intermission, but the Patriots moved to a 38-25 lead going into the final period.
