Franklin County proved they are much better than their season record of 8-10 as they blew past Charlotte Christian 67-41 in the battle for third place.
Charlotte lost back-to-back games in the Classic after winning their first nine games of the season.
The Rebelettes exploded on offense with 12 3-pointers and shot a blistering 58.5 percent from the floor in the game. They made 12 of their 23 3-pointers.
Chelsea Holman was top gun as she swished through six 3-pointers and finished with 19 points and also led the team on the boards with eight. Danielle Jordan scored 15 and had eight assists. Elizabeth Preston added 10.
Gisele Bailey had 15 points and nine boards for Charlotte Christian. Maryah Mazyck added 10.
The game was close for only a quarter. After a 12-12 first quarter draw, Franklin County went up 28-19 by halftime and continued to pad their lead in the final two periods.
