West Greene started the final day of the tournament winning a thriller, rallying from 23 down in the third quarter to beat Cocke County 67-66 in overtime.

Charlotte Murphy tied the Ladies' Classic single game record with eight blocked shots and came up just short of a double-double, posting 16 points and nine rebounds.

Sherry Turner paced the win for West Greene with 20 points. Alison Brooks had 13, and Mary Ann Murphy scored 12 to put four of the Lady Buffs' starting five in double figures.

Cocke County (7-10) started off a tear, jumping to an 18-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and a 38-21 lead at halftime.

The Lady Red spread their advantage to 23 at 50-27 with 3:06 left in the third quarter on a jumper by Hannah Miller.

But then West Greene began fighting back into the contest thanks mainly to their defensive efforts. In addition to Charlotte Murphy blocking eight shots, she, Mary Ann Murphy and Tuner helped the Lady Buffs combine for 31 defensive rebounds.

Mary Ann Murphy hit a basket with 5:00 showing in the fourth to pull the Lady Buffs back to within five. Brooks gave West Greene the lead for the first time in the game at 60-59 with a 3-pointer with 2:50 to play.

Both teams had chances to win it in regulation, but the ball wouldn't fall, sending the game into added time with the score tied at 62.

Brooks started off the added frame with her third 3-pointer of the afternoon, and West Greene survived Cocke County missing plenty of chances at the foul line (2-of-9 in OT, 8-of-22 for the game) to win it.

Mika Wester led Cocke County win a game-best 24 points. Allison Ball scored 11. Sharina Coefield had seven steals.

Charlotte Murphy ended the tournament with 15 blocked shots in four games for West Greene (6-10). Mary Ann Murphy and Turner both had double-doubles with 11 and 13 rebounds, respectively. Turner added six assists.
